About 32-0
We started with a number that won't move. Cut down the nets, do it unbeaten, and your record reads 32-0 — and almost nobody ever gets there. The last men's team to finish a perfect national-title season was the 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers. That was Bob Knight, Scott May, and Kent Benson going 27-0 in the regular season and then five straight in the bracket for the crown. Nearly fifty tournaments have tipped off since. The list of unbeaten champions still ends on that team.
That drought is the whole reason this site exists. We are bracket obsessives — the kind who fill out the card in pen, argue seed lines in October, and love that any given night a double-digit underdog can send a juggernaut home. And the more you sit with it, the clearer it gets: going undefeated through a single-elimination tournament is the hardest perfect season in team sports. A great regular season earns you a top seed. Then you still have to win five win-or-go-home games, each its own coin flip against a live opponent, and one cold shooting night in any of them ends the dream. That is exactly why 32-0 has stood untouched for half a century — and exactly why we wanted a game built around chasing it.
So 32-0.online is one dare turned into a game: spin for an era, draft five legends — one per position — and see if your five can survive the whole gauntlet. Around it we're building a set of guides on undefeated champions, the near-misses that came within a single loss, the greatest players and teams, and how to draft a bracket-proof roster of your own.
Positional balance actually matters here
Most "draft an all-time roster" games have no positional restrictions and no synergy scoring — the optimal strategy is simply stacking the highest raw stat totals, regardless of whether that leaves you with five guards and no rebounding. We built our own version specifically to fix that: every round is locked to a real position, and every completed lineup gets a full, named chemistry breakdown explaining exactly what's working and what isn't — not just a final score.
How the player data works
The player pool is a curated set of retired, historical college legends. Names, positions, and eras are public, non-copyrightable facts. There are no current college athletes in the pool, and no team logos, marks, or player likenesses are used anywhere on the site — only text.
