How to use this glossary

The 32-0 game blends real college basketball history with its own draft mechanics, so a few terms come from the sport and a few come from the game. This reference defines both in plain language. If you are brand new, start with how to play 32-0 and keep this page open alongside it.

Game terms

32-0 — A perfect season with 32 wins and zero losses. In this game it means a flawless 27-game regular season plus a clean sweep of all five single-elimination national tournament games.

Spin-draft — The core mechanic. You “spin” five times to fill five roster slots, and each spin reveals a college era and a set of candidate legends for that position.

Classic draft — The standard mode, which shows you the era and candidates before you commit to a pick. The more forgiving way to play.

Blind draft — A tougher mode that hides more information before you commit, raising both the difficulty and the variance of your run.

Reroll — A limited action, capped at two per draft, that lets you throw out a spin you dislike and try again for different options.

Chemistry — The system that grades how well your five legends fit together. It produces bonuses and penalties that influence how your team performs when the season simulates.

Elite Spacing — A chemistry bonus for a roster with enough perimeter shooting and floor-stretching to open the court.

Twin Playmakers — A chemistry bonus for pairing two genuine creators who can share ballhandling instead of competing for it.

Dominant Frontcourt — A chemistry bonus for a forward-and-center group strong enough to control the paint and the glass.

Usage Conflict — A chemistry penalty for stacking too many players who all need the ball to be effective.

Crowded Paint — A chemistry penalty for too many bigs occupying the same interior space.

Era fit / Poor Era Fit — Era fit measures how well your legends’ eras mesh. When a roster is stitched from clashing decades, the Poor Era Fit penalty applies. See the best era to draft.

Seed — The code that determines your exact draft options. Share a seed and someone else gets the identical draft to try to beat your record.

Daily Challenge — A mode where every player gets the same seed each UTC day and competes on a shared leaderboard, ranked by flawless runs first, then win percentage. See the daily challenge guide.

College basketball terms

Perfect season — A full season with no losses. Only a handful of teams have ever finished one as national champion, most recently 1976 Indiana. See undefeated college basketball seasons.

Regular season — The stretch of games before the national tournament. In this game it is 27 games long, and a single loss ends a perfect run.

National tournament — The postseason bracket that decides the champion. In this game it is a five-game run.

Single elimination — A format where one loss ends your run. It is what makes the tournament so unforgiving and perfect seasons so rare.

Bracket — The tournament’s structure of paired matchups that narrows the field round by round until one team remains.

National title / national championship — The prize for winning the final tournament game. Combined with a flawless regular season, it completes a 32-0.

Positions (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) — Point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. You draft one legend for each.
